Soul: The Science of Being Alive

What makes you YOU? In Disney and Pixar's Soul, Joe Gardner, a middle-school music teacher with a passion for jazz, finds himself on an unexpected journey that challenges everything he thought he knew about life, purpose, and what makes it worth living. Along the way, he discovers that sometimes the most extraordinary parts of life are found in the simplest everyday moments.

Join us at The Health Museum for this heartwarming adventure that celebrates music, discovery, and the experiences that make us who we are!

Before You Watch: A Few Things to Think About

Get curious! As you explore our Body Worlds and Sensing Sound exhibitions and settle in for the movie, consider a few big questions:

  • What makes us who we are? How do our brains, bodies, and experiences shape the way we think, feel, and interact with the world?

  • How does sound move us? Why can a favorite song make us happy, bring back a memory, or inspire us to dance?

  • What makes life meaningful? Is it finding your passion, spending time with people you love, trying something new, or appreciating the little things?

There are no right or wrong answers. Just bring your curiosity and get ready to explore the science of being YOU!
