Conversations with Liver Experts: Fatty Liver Disease and its Progression

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday October 14

5:00 PM  –  6:00 PM

Virtual series features experts with the Texas Liver Foundation.

“Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease” or NAFLD is the #1 reason for liver transplant. Although it affects 1 in 3 adults and 1 in 10 children, most people still do not know about the disease. In this interactive session with a patient, dietician, and physician, we will introduce you to NAFLD, how NAFLD is diagnosed, the complications NAFLD can cause and the role of diet and lifestyle in this disease. Our goal is to empower individuals and parents with information, so that they can discuss NAFLD with their healthcare provider as well as start to prevent or manage the disease.

Join us for this first session in the Conversations with Liver Experts series.

The Texas Liver Foundation, established and founded by leading physicians in the Lone Star State, joins The Health Museum to offer individuals living with liver disease helpful health information through a free, virtual monthly series, 5pm - 6pm.
